Our season runs from mid to late April through to the middle of June, weather depending. During the season, please do pop down to the Farm Shop during open hours to pick up some of our delicious asparagus.

Last week, we said to goodbye to our beautiful Ermintrude. At thirteen asparagus seasons old, she was a regular fixture and fitting of the farmyard and asparagus shed, greeting all our customers with a fierce (but not fierce) bark and always with a very waggy tail. The biggest danger she presented was to be quite a trip hazard as she loved to lay near our selling area.
Bless you gorgeous girl, asparagus season 2026 just won't be quite the same. 💚

The time has finally arrived when we need to call a halt to the 2025 harvest campaign. The fields have cropped well and we've managed 8 weeks of harvest, a huge improvement from the soggy & cold, 2024 season. Thank you to all our customers, it's been fabulous speaking with you all. If the thought of earning a little extra money each week, tickles your taste buds, we're looking for people to join our happy harvest team from mid-April until the middle of June. You'll spend time in the fields cutting asparagus and then in the packhouse, processing it into fabulous looking bunches, ready for all our eager customers.
Fitness and stamina are essential.
If you can only offer one day a week, no problem, if you can offer, two, three, or more, that would be brilliant. For those aged between 18 & 20, pay is £11.00 per hour and for 21 years & above, £12.75 per hour.

For all our loyal customers... Unfortunately, the weather has taken it's toll; a poor summer and autumn during 2023, and a cold wet harvest through April, May and the beginning of June of this year, has left our asparagus in need of an early rest. We are winding down production and this coming weekend will see our last shop openings of 2024. Sorry we couldn't make the extra week as promised but we really need to safeguard the crop for 2025.

We're cutting in the morning and selling from 1.00pm until 5.00pm.

We have done a very modest cut of asparagus and it's available for sale in our pop-up-shop. A cheeky little soft launch. 😉
Open from now until around 5.30pm this evening.
No regular hours to announce as yet but at least it's a start.
£12 a kilo for the good stuff, £7.50 for the wonkys.

Back home after a fabulous, post-season, ride out, covering nearly 2600 miles, mostly around France but we did manage a stop-off at Thwan Van Gennip's, in the Netherlands, my asparagus plant suppliers. So that makes it a business trip, right? 😉
